Drive is a subconsultant on this design-build project involving the construction of a 37,000 square foot, two-story Regional Traffic Management Center (RTMC) and an 84,000 square foot, two and a half story parking structure for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 6-0. PennDOT District 6-0 is responsible for Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties covering over 3,553 total road miles and 2,760 total bridges.
Drive was responsible for providing network design, communications and AV/IT design reviews, construction management, AV/IT systems inspections, systems acceptance testing, and other miscellaneous engineering services for the project.
Specific tasks included assisting in development of a network Migration/Cutover Plan, redesigning the building’s fiber communications infrastructure and AV/IT systems design reviews, inspections, and testing. Drive was also responsible for reviewing required layer 2/layer 3 network equipment, assisting in the design of the new RTMC equipment/network room, and designing the server racks for the RTMC equipment/network room. Drive performed all design reviews and recommendations in close coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
