Traffic Operations
As a subconsultant, Drive provided a wide variety of services that include Traffic Operations, Maintenance, Traffic Incident Management (TIM), and Traffic Operations Center (TOC) support. Drive’s tasks under this project included:
• Assisting in leading the Turnpike’s TIM efforts through administration of its Traffic Operations Subcommittee meetings and Incident Management meetings
• Developing training videos, e-learning programs, and GIS-based support applications to improve incident response efficiency
• Serving as the lead consultant firm for the Pennsylvania Traffic Incident Management Enhancement (PennTIME) program developed through the PA Turnpike since its 2017 inception and maintaining the program website.
• Assisting with a multi-disciplinary team in producing the Triannual PTC Conditions Assessment Report to evaluate the condition of all field assets across the entire Turnpike system and associated maintenance practices.
• Development of online Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the TOC and developing response plans for the Turnpikes Advanced Transportation Management System (ATMS).
