Post-Workshop Summary and Analysis
The City of Philadelphia is conducting a comprehensive study to enhance safety and mobility for all roadway users in the Port Richmond Industrial District. The initiative seeks to improve comfort for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists; enhance access to the Delaware River Trail and nearby amenities; identify better truck routing and overnight parking solutions; support long-term infrastructure planning aligned with business and community needs; and maintain access for both industrial and residential users. Working with the Philadelphia City Planning Commission (PCPC), in collaboration with NV5, Drive Engineering led an industrial stakeholder workshop that brought together over 20 members of the community to discuss the impact of transportation conditions on their operations with PCPC, Streets Department, PhilaPort, and Councilmember Driscoll. The project is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2025.
