Bicycle and Pedestrian Count Program
The South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization (SJTPO) is launching a project to develop a Regional Active Transportation Master Plan for its four-county region. The goal of this initiative is to improve connectivity by creating a more comprehensive and accessible network of pedestrian and bicycle facilities. As part of the project, the existing roadway network will be assessed for Level of Traffic Stress (LTS) and other key factors to guide future improvements and planning efforts. Working with Michael Baker International, Drive Engineering conducted an analysis for the MPO including ALICE and other equity data indicators, will host pop-up events for the public and provide locations and equipment recommendations for bike counts. The project is anticipated to be completed in Summer 2026.
